What is an End of Life Doula for the Elderly

An End-of-life Doula is a non-medical professional that provides holistic support for the dying and their loved ones before, during, and after death. We are trained in the various end of life stages, a Doula can assist the family with understanding the natural processes while providing comfort and support.

Hello, I'm Nancy Nancy Dahdah from Ottawa, Ontario.

Ideal Caregivers 4u is proud to offer assistance in creating a positive, calming environment for the person facing death according to their wishes in their home, hospital, hospice or care facility.

We support the dying person as they make decisions about their end of the life care plan.

This plan communicates and details how they want their last months, days and hours to be lived to their loved ones.

We can facilitate meetings between the dying person, their family and other health care providers to ensure their end of life care plan will be followed according to their wishes.

We remain present to the dying person and their loved ones throughout the final dying process and offer consistent, reassuring, emotional and spiritual support to the family.

Nancy is a proud member of the

National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA) which is a non-profit organization for End-of-Life Doulas and Trainers in the around the globe.
