DIY Daisies!

We saw this cute craft online last week and just had to share! Made from cotton swabs, pipe-cleaners, and Play-Doh, these adorable flowers are just what you need to brighten up your day!

Here's what you need to make one flower:

  • 2 Green pipe-cleaners

  • Yellow Play-Doh or clay

  • A handful of cotton swabs

  • Strong craft glue or hot glue gun

  • Scissors

  • 1 Sheet of Blue craft paper

Instructions

  1. Cut the handful of cotton swabs in half using scissors and set aside.

  2. Take a small amount of yellow Play-Doh or clay and roll it in your hand to form a ball. Flatten slightly.

  3. Insert each cotton swab, cut-side, into the edges of the clay to form the petals of a flower.

  4. Glue the flower down, using strong glue or a hot glue gun (keep safety in mind!), onto the craft paper. the clay may be heavy for regular gue, so make sure it is secured to the paper properly.

  5. Take one green pipe-cleaner and insert one end to the bottom of the daisy flower and glue down the stem onto the paper.

  6. Using the second green pipe-cleaner, bend to form a leaf and glue down.

  7. Allow drying fully before picking up the artwork, as the clay may be quite heavy and fall off.

**add as many flowers as you wish to create a lovely bouquet! You may even wish to have the flowers stand alone in a vase or jar instead of fixed to paper!
