Happy Camper!

During the hot days of summer, it's best to do simple art activities so as not to overexert your elderly loved ones, or those in your care. Keep them cool with these colouring pages we created. They can be used to decorate their space or as great story starters! By showing images that are familiar to experiences they have had or places they have been in the past, your loved one will begin to reminisce about the "good ol' days".

What you need:

  • Colouring Pages

  • Colouring Pencils or Markers

  • Flat surface/tabletop

Download or save the images and print them on plain white printer paper

  1. Using the pencil crayons or markers, have your loved one colour the page they identify with most, or they may prefer both!

Start a conversation by asking questions about what they used to do in their childhood or with their children in the summertime. Perhaps they went camping in a tent or with an RV or camper! What did they eat (BBQ hamburgers, hotdogs, etc.)? What activities did they do (swimming, canoeing, etc.), Did they sit around a campfire and sing songs? roast marshmallows? make s'mores?

Once completed, hang or place in an area of their room where they can see it and recall fond memories.
